DefaultKawaii is a small, solo artist-run studio based in outback, Australia, creating cozy spooky-cute colouring books and sticker sheets that actually make sense when you colour them.

I’m Dixie — an art school trained artist and graphic designer. After having my baby, I lost my creative spark for a while. What started as a quiet way to find myself again slowly grew into DefaultKawaii.

I now create soft, comforting worlds filled with pastel witches, gentle cryptids, cozy ghosts, and whimsical scenes that feel more soothing than scary. Every design is hand-drawn by me in Procreate. I sometimes use AI as loose reference for ideas, but I redraw and refine every single line myself so the final artwork has clean lines and makes sense when you sit down to colour.

This extra care is really important to me. I know how frustrating it is to buy adult colouring pages only to discover messy lines or confusing elements. My pages are thoughtfully planned so they’re genuinely enjoyable to colour — a calm, creative escape rather than something rushed or disappointing.

Physical books and die-cut sticker sheets are printed, assembled, and packaged by me in small, intentional batches. I’d rather make fewer things and make them well.
